When do you go to the mission field? Do you go when your children are young and not yet as independent as would be convenient? Do you go when they’re older and are making strong friendships? Do you go when they’re teens and struggling with so many other changes?
How about family? When is a good time to leave them? What about when a cherished Uncle is diagnosed with cancer? Or your precious sister, who’s been serving in another country for over two years, is soon to come home? Or when your nieces and nephews are young, so you’ll miss them growing up, or even miss meeting ones yet to come?
There is no good time to go to the mission field. There is only the time that God tells you to go, or to do whatever it is He’s calling you to do. That’s the only time to do it.
