Standing outside the Taipei 101 Building – which was the tallest in the world when it was built!
I traveled here last week by myself first because if I got denied, then there was no reason for Ruth and the boys to make the trip. The Embassy first requested additional documentation, and then eventually also requested I come in for an in-person interview with an Embassy Officer earlier this week. Then on Wednesday, I woke up to the news of my visa approval, so Ruth and the boys packed feverishly and arrived the following evening. We had their applications in on Friday, and this morning (Saturday) we’re officially able to share the news that they all four are approved as well!
We spent the day today reconnecting with a missionary family who lived near us in our previous country of service, which was really great because we haven’t crossed paths with them in five years! Tomorrow morning we’ll attend Easter Sunday service at the Taipei International Church. Our reservations here are booked through Wednesday, and we’ll be flying home to Chiang Mai that day. Can’t wait!
Thanks again for praying with/for us as we navigated this situation.
In Christ,
-Lance, for the Baker family
