Twisted and Turned and Came Out Here
The boys assembled our supporters’ gifts, little bags of Butterfly Pea Tea or local coffee that Lance roasted in a traditional Thai basket. The boys were a huge help these past few weeks as we packed to leave. Life has twisted and turned once again and we will be in the States this summer! Hurray!…

Various and Sundry
This month has been filled with Josiah’s surgery, navigating his hospital stay and helping him with his prolonged recovery at home. So, this gives me the perfect opportunity to update you on a myriad of smaller ministries we’ve been doing over here that have never quite made it into the blog. Worship time at the…

Josiah’s 6th Surgery
The hospital’s spirit shrine by the front entrance. Rooster statues are left to the spirit of Ai Khai in thanks for or in hopes of having their wishes granted. Josiah safely got through his 6th surgery! We haven’t yet seen the doctor, so we don’t have any details, but the nurse said everything went well…

Homeschool Ministry
There are so many flowering trees here ranging from beautiful to beautiful and bizarre. If you’ve followed along with our blog this past year, you might remember us mentioning the idea of wanting to develop a homeschool assistant program for the missionaries here in Asia. The longer we’re on the field, the more missionaries we…

Thailand is a Buddhist country. When our neighbors built their house they then had monks perform a ceremony to bless it and remove evil spirits. The whole neighborhood was invited to join the ceremony and give alms. We didn’t attend, but were sent pictures of the event afterwards. These ceremonies are common for many things.…

Thanksgiving 2021
We may not be able to get turkey without spending (literally) $80 for a small one (so we have chicken), but we can get fresh fruit! What would you do if you found yourself in Asia, having never been in your life, two days before a major holiday that revolved around food and you didn’t…

Neighborhood Ministry
Our boys building a pulley system with their friends for the tree in the park. It is the most marvelous tree for climbing and hanging out in. You can’t see them well, but there are kids the whole way up. An exciting ministry has developed with our neighborhood kids. When we first arrived, we weren’t…
